--- title: "Lululemon Logo Rug Printing in Dubai | Sun Studio" description: "Three 2.4 x 4 m rugs in Lululemon pink: the brand colour printed across the whole pile, plus the yellow logo, with direct UV printing in Dubai." url: https://www.sunstudio.ae/portfolio/lululemon-pink-logo-rug-printing-dubai/ type: project site: Sun Studio Dubai --- # Lululemon Logo Rugs, Printed in Brand Pink Lululemon needed three rugs in its light pink, each 2.4 by 4 metres, carrying a yellow script and the red Lululemon logo. Sun Studio printed each rug direct at our Al Quoz studio in Dubai: the pink from end to end and the logo in yellow and red, onto white cut-pile rugs that we supplied. ![A rug printed light pink with a yellow script and the red Lululemon logo, lying on the belt of the IQDEMY EVO 2500 in the Sun Studio print room in Dubai](https://www.sunstudio.ae/cases/lululemon-pink-logo-rug-uv-printed-dubai.jpg) ## Project snapshot - **Client:** Lululemon - **Application:** Logo rugs for floor use or hanging decor - **Quantity:** 3 rugs - **Size:** 2.4 x 4 metres each - **Material:** White cut-pile rugs, supplied by Sun Studio - **Design:** Light pink across the whole rug; a yellow script with a fine red outline; the red Lululemon logo - **Method:** Direct UV printing, cured on the pile - **Machine:** IQDEMY EVO 2500, a belt flatbed 2.5 metres wide - **Printing service:** Rug and carpet printing - **Year:** 2026 ## One pale colour across 9.6 square metres of pile A pile rug is not a flat surface. It is thousands of fibre ends, and ink lands on the tips first, so a solid colour has to reach into the pile to read as solid rather than dusted on. Here each rug had to be one pale colour across 9.6 square metres: Lululemon’s light pink. Pale colours leave little room for error, because a light tint uses very little ink and an uneven pass shows as a stripe. ![Close-up of a pink cut-pile rug printed with a yellow script in a fine red outline and the red Lululemon logo, on the belt of the press](https://www.sunstudio.ae/cases/lululemon-logo-rug-yellow-script-on-pink-pile.jpg) ## The whole rug in brand pink, the logo in register We printed the pink across the full surface of each rug, not as a panel behind the logo, so the rug itself becomes the brand colour. The logo was printed in register with the pink: the yellow script with its fine red outline, and the red Lululemon logo above it. A thin outline on pile is only a few fibres wide, so the rug stays flat and still on the bed for the whole print. ![A low view across the printed pink pile of a rug, the black print carriage of the EVO 2500 passing over it with its blue UV lamps lit](https://www.sunstudio.ae/cases/uv-print-carriage-over-pink-pile-rug-evo-2500.jpg) ## Printing soft pile on a belt flatbed Soft pile is the opposite of the rigid boards a flatbed usually prints. Each rug was laid flat on our IQDEMY EVO 2500, a belt flatbed 2.5 metres wide with no machine limit on length. At 2.4 metres wide, a rug fits across the belt, and the belt carries its 4-metre length through the press. The printhead runs above the pile without touching it, and the UV lamps on the carriage cure the ink as it passes. LED-UV curing is cold, so the fibres are not scorched or flattened by heat. On a cut pile, shade changes with the direction the fibres lie, as it does on velvet. A printed pile rug looks a touch darker from one side, and that is the pile, not the print.
