Meeting Room Glass Printing for the PRO TECHnology Office

PRO TECHnology wanted its meeting room to carry the brand without a logo stuck on every surface. Sun Studio printed the pattern directly onto the glass that encloses the room.

Six panels, each 2.4 metres tall and a metre wide, running the full length of the wall. PRO TECHnology is our own parent group, so this one was built at home.

The requirement

Meeting room glass has two jobs at once. It has to give the room separation without sealing it off from the floor, and it has to carry brand identity without turning into signage.

What we did

The pattern was printed onto the glass itself rather than applied as a film, so there is no edge to catch and nothing to lift where the panels are handled.

Coverage was set to break sightlines without closing the room off, so the partition still reads as glass from the floor.

Technical considerations

This is the most handled glass in any office — hands, chair backs, cleaning every single day — so the print has to survive contact rather than merely look right on the day it goes up. Glass is smooth and non-porous, so adhesion depends on the surface condition, the cleaning and the pre-treatment before any ink is laid.

The outcome

A meeting room that is recognisably PRO TECHnology from across the floor, with a printed surface that holds up to being touched every day.
