Bilingual Wayfinding Panels for Sharjah Al Hisn Museum
Sharjah Al Hisn Museum, the restored fort at the heart of old Sharjah, engaged Sun Studio to produce custom printed directional and informational signage panels.
With visitor flow and historical context both critical inside a protected historic structure, the panels had to stay legible and durable on an aluminium substrate.

The brief
High-contrast text and icons that stay legible in changing daylight, bilingual Arabic and English content sharing one cohesive panel with maps and symbols, and surfaces that survive constant handling and cleaning — all without physically compromising a protected building.
Our approach
Both languages were set on the same panel alongside the maps and symbols, so a visitor reads one sign rather than choosing between two.
The graphics were printed direct onto aluminium, giving a surface that can be cleaned repeatedly without the print being the part that wears.
The result
Clear, durable directional panels that improve visitor navigation and carry the historical narrative, while leaving the heritage structure untouched.
