Custom Logo Rugs and Carpet Printing in Dubai: Any Colour, Any Rug
Your logo or brand colour printed direct onto finished rugs and carpets at our studio in Al Quoz, Dubai. Any colour, on light or dark rugs, from one rug to a full rollout, normally with a sample first.

Can you print your logo on a rug in Dubai?
Yes. You can put your logo on a rug in Dubai without having one woven. Sun Studio prints direct onto finished rugs and carpets with UV ink at our studio in Al Quoz. Any colour and any design, on one rug, a sample or a full rollout, collected or delivered within the UAE.
In short:
- Method: direct UV printing; the ink is cured on the fibre by LED-UV light as it prints.
- Rugs: pile, flatweave, loop and textile rugs and carpets that lie flat on the bed. Send yours, or we supply a plain rug.
- Colour: any colour on light or dark rugs, including a brand colour across the whole rug.
- Size: our IQDEMY EVO 2500 is a belt flatbed 2.5 metres wide with no machine limit on length.
- Turnaround: 2 working days for a typical rug, after sample approval.
- Minimum order: none for UV printing done in our studio.
- Where: printed in Al Quoz, Dubai; collected or delivered within the UAE.
The photographs and the video on this page are our own work. The pink rugs are from the Lululemon logo rugs we printed: three pieces, each 2.4 by 4 metres.
What is direct UV rug printing?
Direct UV rug printing lays UV-curable ink onto the pile or weave of a finished rug and cures it with UV light as the printhead passes. There are no screens, stencils or transfer papers. The rug goes on the flatbed, the artwork prints onto it, and it comes off ready to lay.
It is a different job from making a rug. Tufting and weaving build the design out of coloured yarn, so the rug is made around the logo. Printing adds the design to a rug that already exists. For how UV printing compares with the other processes, see UV printing vs screen printing, pad and sublimation.
Any colour, on any rug or carpet
We print any colour on any rug, carpet or textile that lies flat on the bed. The pile and the weave decide how the print looks, more than the artwork does. We confirm every new rug on a sample.
| Rug or carpet type | How the print looks | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Cut pile and plush | Soft, solid colour; logos hold well on short, dense pile | Shade shifts with pile direction, as on velvet |
| Flatweave, kilim and dhurrie style | Crisp edges and fine geometry, with the weave showing through | A flat surface, so fine detail holds |
| Loop pile and office carpet | Solid colour and logos with a slightly textured edge | Send an offcut or a corner photo |
| Long shag and high pile | Colour sits on the upper fibre | The base colour can show when the pile parts |
| Entrance and logo mats | Logo and colour on the top fibre | Heavy foot traffic wears the print with the fibre |
| Linen, canvas and textile panels | Fine line work and pattern | See fabric and textile printing in Dubai |

Full-coverage colour: a rug in your brand colour
A logo rug does not have to start in your colour. We can print a colour across the whole rug, so a white or light rug becomes the brand colour, with the logo printed in register on it.
That is how we made the Lululemon logo rugs: three pieces, each 2.4 by 4 metres, printed light pink from end to end with the yellow script and the red logo on the pile.
Light rugs give a more accurate colour, because UV ink is translucent and the base shows through. We print dark rugs too: white ink goes under the colour where the design needs it, and you approve the result on a sample.
For brand colours, send a physical reference such as a printed swatch or a Pantone number. Colour on pile reads differently from colour on paper, so you approve it on a sample before the run.
Printed vs tufted vs woven logo rugs
Printing suits a logo rug when you need any colour, fine detail or a short run. Tufting suits a rug where the design must be part of the pile, and weaving suits a large repeated order.
| Printed (direct UV) | Hand-tufted | Woven | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How the design is made | Ink printed onto a finished rug | Coloured yarn tufted into a backing, colour by colour | Coloured yarn woven on a loom |
| Colours | Any colour, gradients and photographs | One yarn per colour; gradients are hard | Limited to the loom's yarn colours |
| Fine detail | Thin lines and small text, crisper on low pile | Limited by yarn thickness | Limited by weave density |
| Minimum order | None in our studio | Usually one rug, made to order | Usually a production quantity |
| What sets the lead time | 2 working days for a typical rug, after sample approval | Size and number of colours | The mill's schedule |
| Feel of the design | Same pile; slightly firmer where ink coverage is heavy | Part of the pile, and can be carved | Part of the weave |
| Best for | Brand colours, events, short runs, frequent changes | A statement rug for one space | Large repeated orders |
Where businesses in the UAE use printed rugs
- Retail: store entrances, fitting rooms and window displays in the brand colour.
- Launches and pop-ups: mall activations and event stages, where the rug carries the campaign. Our exhibition and event printing guide covers the rest of a stand.
- Offices: reception rugs and logo mats at the door.
- Hospitality and fitness: lobby rugs and studio or gym entrances.
- Hanging decor: a printed rug can hang on a wall as brand decor as well as lie on the floor.
- Seasonal campaigns: National Day, Ramadan and product launches, where a rug is needed for weeks rather than years.
How rug printing works at Sun Studio
- Send the rug size, a close-up photo of the pile, the base colour, the quantity and your logo file. No rug yet? We can supply a plain rug in your size; it goes on the quote as its own line.
- We check the rug and the artwork, and set the print height above the pile.
- We print a sample so you approve the colour on the pile.
- The rug is printed flat on our IQDEMY EVO 2500 and cured by UV light as it prints. A typical rug takes 2 working days after sample approval.
- You collect from Al Quoz, or we deliver within the UAE.
Care and wear
UV ink cures onto the fibre, so the print wears as the pile wears. A rug in a busy entrance shows wear sooner than one on a stage, in a fitting room or in an office.
Vacuum as normal and blot spills. Printed rugs are for indoor use and are not for machine washing. Ask us before steam or chemical cleaning.
