A Thousand Mini Perfume Bottles, Printed Direct for Corporate Gifting
A perfume manufacturer that private-labels for its own clients brought Sun Studio a corporate gifting order: roughly one thousand 50 ml mini perfume bottles carrying four different artworks.
Everything was printed directly onto the glass — no labels, no sleeves. The client stays unnamed: their work is their clients’ branding, which is exactly why the finish had to look factory-made rather than decorated.

The brief
Dark, full-coverage artwork panels with fine typography — the most unforgiving kind of design for consistency, because any dust, drift in placement or thin coverage shows immediately on a deep field. Any two bottles from different boxes had to read as identical, and the gifting deadline meant the run had to move at a predictable rate.
Our approach
Every bottle was cleaned and degreased, and the print face was not touched again before printing. Adhesion was proven on sample bottles first — the exact glass, not a similar one — before the run was committed.
The bottles ran on the flatbed in a jig, so every cycle placed every bottle in exactly the same position. A white base layer went down first to carry the colour on clear glass, then the artwork, cured as it was laid.
Because the process is digital, the four artworks ran through one production setup — a different design is a different file, not a different tooling.
Production detail
On a run this size, consistency is procedure rather than talent: one artwork file per design, one jig defining position, one colour profile, one preparation routine — then periodic checks against the approved sample under raking light, where coverage flaws and dust actually show.
The result
A thousand bottles with the artwork in the glass rather than on a label — four designs, one consistent finish, delivered for a corporate gifting deadline. The full production process is written up in the article linked below.
