Printed Chocolate, Macarons and Biscuits for Events, Corporate Gifting and Brand Activations

Chocolate, macarons, biscuits and cake sheets printed with edible ink: what prints well, and where it fits events and gifting.

Edible food printing puts a logo, a name or full-colour artwork directly onto chocolate, macarons, cookies and cake sheets with edible ink, with no wafer paper and no transfer sheet. Sun Studio runs it in Al Quoz, Dubai, on IMAGO food printers that are used for food only, for events, corporate gifting and brand activations across the UAE. There is no minimum order.

The service itself, with what to send and who supplies the food, is on our food printing in Dubai page. This article covers where printed food works, what prints well and how it fits into corporate gifting.

What Is Food Printing?

Food printing is the process of applying edible designs, logos, patterns or messages directly onto food items, using dedicated food printers and edible inks. We review a sample of any unusual item first, so the result is approved before the run.

  • Logos, text or full-colour graphics, printed with clear detail
  • Chocolates and truffles
  • Cookies and biscuits
  • Macarons and cupcakes
  • Cake sheets and fondant
  • Edible packaging or wrappers for special events

Events and brand activations

Brands in Dubai and across the UAE use printed food where guests are present and the brand has a moment of their attention.

Popular items include chocolates, cookies, macarons, cupcakes, and other creative edible surfaces, each customised to the campaign, the event or the brand. Typical uses:

  • Corporate events: company milestones, conferences or office celebrations
  • Product launches: the product or campaign artwork on an edible item
  • Brand activations: printed treats handed out at retail or pop-up events
  • Hospitality and VIP gifting: customised treats for guests and loyal customers

Food printing for corporate gifting

For brands and gifting companies, printed food turns an ordinary box of chocolates or macarons into a gift that carries the brand, the occasion or the recipient's name.

It also sits alongside the other printed pieces in a gift set: the same artwork can run across the cups, the box and the chocolate.

  • Full personalisation: names, logos, event themes or messages can be printed on each item
  • Short-run flexibility: suited to limited-edition campaigns or VIP gifts, with no minimum order quantity (MOQ)
  • Perceived value: a printed chocolate or macaron reads as made for the occasion, not bought off a shelf
  • Creative impact: printed food tends to be photographed and shared before it is eaten

No minimum order

At Sun Studio there is no minimum order quantity for food printing.

Artwork can be a single logo or a full-colour design in the brand's colours and fonts. Colour on food depends on the surface underneath, so we check a sample against your brand colours. With no minimum, food printing suits:

  • Small-scale events or personalized gifts
  • Limited-edition promotional activations
  • Test campaigns or experiential pop-ups
  • Multi-location corporate events or hotel hospitality programs

Why Choose Sun Studio for Food Printing?

At Sun Studio, food printing is handled as a production job, not as decoration. Artwork is checked against the item, and a sample is reviewed before any unusual surface goes into a run.

  • Printing in Dubai since 2011
  • High-resolution printing on chocolate, biscuits, macarons, cake sheets and fondant, with a sample review before any unusual surface
  • Fully customisable designs, logos and messages
  • Short runs, with no minimum order
  • A dedicated IMAGO food printer, kept separate from the UV presses

Common questions

Can you print a logo directly onto chocolate?
Yes. Sun Studio prints logos, artwork and text directly onto chocolate using an IMAGO Vulpes Pro confectionery printer running the edible ink set supplied for it. No wafer paper or transfer sheet is used, so the design sits on the chocolate itself.
Will our brand colours print accurately on chocolate or macarons?
Close, but the food underneath changes the result. Colour on food depends on the surface it is printed on, so a file that prints true on one item can shift on another. We check a printed sample against your brand colours before the event run.
Which events suit printed food best?
Occasions with a fixed date and guests in the room: product launches, conferences and company milestones, retail pop-ups and brand activations, and VIP or hotel guest gifting. Printed food tends to be photographed and shared before it is eaten, so it works best where the brand has the guest's attention for a moment.
