That is the rate for direct-to-wall printing, where the image is printed on site onto the finished wall. It is not a price for wall prints, canvas or wallpaper, which are different products. Few wall printing companies in the UAE publish a rate, so this guide sets out what sits inside ours.
It covers what the rate includes, why it is built the way it is, and what that means for a single office corner in Business Bay or seven walls across a gym fit-out in Abu Dhabi.

Why wall printing is priced per square metre
A printed wall never visits the studio. The printer travels to the wall. The wallPen E2 stands on the floor and moves along a rail laid in front of the wall while the head travels up and down, laying and curing ink directly onto the finished surface. So every job carries a visit as well as the printing: transporting the machine, setting the rail and calibrating on site. What the AED 950 rate includes, and what it leaves out
AED 950 per square metre, excluding VAT, is a flat rate for printing on a wall that is ready to print. The rate per metre carries the print day itself: the wallPen E2 and our crew on site, the rail set and calibrated, and the artwork printed and cured on the wall. Mobilisation is not a separate line. It sits inside the rate. The process is digital, so there are no plates and no screens to pay for.
Two things sit outside the rate and are settled in the quote. The first is wall preparation: repairs, a primer or a fresh coat of paint, where the wall needs them. Whether your painter does that work or it goes into our quote is agreed before a print date is booked. The second is travel: a job outside Dubai has its travel priced into the quote, not added afterwards. VAT at 5% is added where it applies, and it is shown separately on the quote and on the invoice.

What moves the price up or down
Three things move the total:
- Total area: every square metre at the same rate
- Wall condition: paint that needs attention, damp or repairs add a preparation stage
- Location: a job outside Dubai has its travel priced into the quote
What does not move the rate: the size of the job, the number of colours or the complexity of the artwork file. The process is digital, so a gradient photograph and a two-tone pattern are priced the same way, by area. Site access is part of the brief: a ground-floor showroom is not a hotel atrium, so tell us how the machine reaches the wall.
No minimum order, and what small jobs look like
There is no minimum order quantity on wall printing at Sun Studio. A single feature wall is a normal job, not an exception. The one we publish in detail is the group's own: the general manager's room at the PRO TECHnology office in Business Bay. One corner, one continuous image across both faces, printed in about two hours with the room back in use the same day.
If the space has a second surface worth printing, say so when you ask for a quote, so both can be planned into the same visit.
Several walls in one visit, in a real project
The clearest demonstration is the Body Abs Gym fit-out in Abu Dhabi: seven walls across one branch, printed in place. The gym did not want vinyl or wallpaper, and it did not want printed panels fixed over the fit-out. It wanted artwork that was part of the wall itself, without handing the site over to installers in the middle of the fit-out.
Printed as one mobilisation, seven walls shared one machine transport, one set-up and one crew visit. That is the pattern to copy: plan the walls together, and the site sees one visit instead of seven. The same logic serves a brand with several branches. Printing the same artwork file at each location gives a repeatability a hand-painted mural cannot offer, which is the subject of office wall branding and retail wall graphics.
How wall printing pricing compares with the alternatives
Set against custom wallpaper, a printed wall costs several times the price per square metre, and vinyl graphics usually quote cheaper per metre too. That is the plain comparison on day one. You are buying a finish, not a covering: there is no separate installation, no join to match and no sheet edge.
The costs that sit outside a sheet's price per metre are installation, removal when the design changes, and replacement where a sheet lifts or is damaged. Sheets do not always fail, and on one small feature wall the gap in price is real money. Across a large project, once installation and the chance of replacing a lifted sheet are counted, it narrows. A hand-painted mural is the other comparison. It is priced per project rather than per metre, it is slower, and it cannot be repeated exactly. Where authorship is the point, a muralist wins. Where a brand needs the same wall in nine branches, or photographic detail at architectural scale, the machine does.
