Print on Any Surface, Any Material
Sun Studio prints artwork in UV ink directly onto almost any surface and any material at our studio in Al Quoz, Dubai: glass, metal, wood, acrylic, ceramic tile, stone, leather, fabric, plastic, walls, bottles and cans, and on food with edible ink. Every image below is Sun Studio work. If the surface you have in mind is not here, send it to us: we will say plainly whether it prints, and print a sample on it before any run. There is no minimum order.
Signage and wayfinding
UV printed signage in Dubai, produced flat on the bed and built up in cured ink where a sign needs raised lettering or braille. The work below includes wayfinding for the Museum of the Future, Dubai Municipality park signage and bilingual statutory panels.
Wall printing
Direct to wall printing brings the printer to the building: murals laid straight onto finished plaster, on site, in offices, gyms, clinics and homes across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with no wallpaper, no vinyl and no seams.
Glass
Glass printing runs from splashbacks and office partitions to backlit feature walls and ceiling panels. The ink is cured onto the glass itself, so there is no film to lift and no edge to peel.
Bottles, cans and fragrance
Cylindrical UV printing wraps artwork 360 degrees around perfume bottles, aluminium cans, tumblers and jars with no label and no seam. Short runs and multi-design sets are included, because every design is a file rather than a plate.
Fabric, leather and soft surfaces
UV printing on textile and velvet and on leather keeps the material readable through the artwork: the weave, the pile and the grain stay part of the result, which is the reason to print on cloth in the first place.
Wood, acrylic and interiors
Interior surfaces (timber and MDF, acrylic and stone-effect panels) are printed flat before assembly, so cabinet fronts, feature walls and gallery pieces arrive as finished components. We also print acoustic panels in PET felt, fabric or slatted timber, flat on the bed, so a wall that absorbs sound can carry artwork too.
Gifting, drinkware and food
Corporate gifting printed direct onto the object: gahwa cups, candles and glassware. We also print on food with edible ink on a dedicated IMAGO food printer, from macarons to chocolate.
